FAU Ice Hockey Club

The Florida Atlantic University Ice Hockey Club is heading into it’s 20th year of play and is comprised of FAU student-athletes from the United States, Canada, and Argentina. The team participates in Division II of AAU College Hockey and has been a member of the College Hockey South (CHS) since the 2021-2022 season. Previously, the Owls competed in the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) before moving to the College Hockey Federation for the 2021-2022 season. The Owls qualified for the ACHA National Tournament in 2005 & 2011 and qualified for the Regional Tournament in the 2017-2018 and 2019-2020 seasons. Since moving to AAU College Hockey, the team has qualified for the AAU National Tournament in the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 Seasons.

Open tryouts are held at the beginning of the fall semester in preparation for the 25+ multi-conference season games, the CHS Conference Payoffs, and the AAU College Hockey National Tournament.

FAU Owls Hockey is a “club” team. The university, student athletes, and generous supporters cover all expenses related to team operations, uniforms, equipment, rink time, travel, referees, etc. The team is further supported by a Board of Advisors made up of local business and hockey professionals that volunteer their time and efforts.

We invite you to come out and cheer on these athletes as they participate in the game they love and represent FAU and the Boca Raton community in the national spotlight.
